Getting Out

Warning: This post really has nothing to do with KDE. Read at your own risk. Better yet, complain to whoever is in charge of Planet KDE to remove me from the planet as I don't have an svn account ;).

I imagine many of you (and presumably all of you) have felt constrained at some point in your life. Maybe it was your job, your family situation or for some other reason. But for whatever reason we all feel it at some point in our lives.

 

And I'm telling you that I feel it now.

I've been on a fairly long hiatus from this blog.  However class, contracting and starting a business have left me without much extra time.  That being said, there have been a lot of different things kicking around in my head.  This one has for awhile:

Is your blog syndicated on the planet?  Is there a possibility that there are non-ASCII characters appearing in your blog?  If so please make sure that they are properly encoded into XML entities.  Many XML readers are very strict so if you do not correctly encode these entities they will die (Firefox and dot.kde.org are both notable).
Remember, every time you break the Dot's feed reader, god kills a kitten.
Please... think of the kittens.

A bit of news

It's been awhile since I've posted anything. School was very busy and I've been on vacation.

First, an update. The dot is very near completion. I've been saying this for awhile, I know. However, it will be coming out in January (and before the release of 4.2)! I wanted to have it out a lot sooner but school has kept me from finishing up the few remaining issues. But now, being on break I'll have some time to finish it up.
